For those that were either not yet born or too young to remember what happened on 9/11, you can read the first chapter of the 9/11 Commission Report. But be warned, it provides an unsettling description of the day’s events.
I knew a passenger on Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania. He was a business acquaintance; a lawyer that I used to meet with infrequently. He has a memorial page with the National Park Service (https://www.nps.gov/flni/learn/historyculture/alan-anthony-beaven.htm) and was featured in the movies about Flight 93. Easy to pick him out because of his accent.
Finally after 20 years, at least some of the classified documents from the 9/11 Commission will be released.
