So, I actually didn’t know this song…
We were all in a baptist church, so we had to play something gospel, but none of our gospel repertoire overlapped. So they taught me this song about a minute before we filmed.
They also forced me to wear Caleb’s coat and Ben’s tie.
All in all we had a fun couple of day’s, and I absolutely smoked them at Go-karting…
There is a Fountain with the Ellis Brothers
Wow. My fingers (thanks to my buddy Art Hritus) will NEVER move that fast. I loved this.
Haha, welcome to my world…
Yall did a great job & had a much better result that I would have!
Is that a hoodie with the coat and tie?!
Same!!!
Great job! The Ellises know everyone it seems. I’ve seen videos of them playing with almost everyone I know.
Yes! I couldn’t completely abandon my hobo aesthetic…
That happens when you travel as much as they do.
Thanks y’all!!
You’ve never thrown down on Clinch Mountain Backstep in a baptist church?!
One of the things I tell my guitar students… the guitar is being taken to its limits in two basic genres… metal and bluegrass. Bluegrass especially is the scariest of guitar worlds out there, and the BG players are so articulate in their playing. A person and their guitar. No effects, just a player, a pick and six strings. I truly wished I had discovered BG as a young man, my playing would have gone to new levels VERY quickly.
Wow Gunnar you guys did great! And by the way, nice coat and tie
Great playing.
Thanks y’all!
It was their mom’s rule I guess. Because I definitely have, and I don’t even frequent baptist churches…
Yeah it’s my moms rule…
Love Clinch Mountain Back Step btw
I think she was a little more strict on that day than usual because she had a thought of us turning into Gunnar some day!jkjk
She really doesn’t like us playing fiddle tunes in churches🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, I think that’s every mom’s biggest fear.
I fixed it for you
Yep, you sure did…
