Ricky Skaggs doesn’t sound bad, but there isn’t much, if any, vocal skill there. It’s the same with all male singers in bluegrass.

How in the world do you hear Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver play instrumentals but not sing?

And I’ve heard Doyle’s band sing, not much vocal talent there…
Umm no, if you tried to learn to sing you would understand that the voice is basically the hardest instrument.

I know. That’s the reason why he single handedly saved country music and became the most well known voice in bluegrass. It’s because he can’t sing.
