Never heard of that before. That’s pretty sickening. People should just know better. Animals are animals!
I did read a true book several years ago by Bill Rice called “Noel the Lovin’ Lion”; actually a pretty neat story about a tamed pet lion raised by an evangelist’s family on a Tennessee ranch. They did put him in a zoo when he got too big to feed though.
An all too familiar tale in this country with cat’s and dogs. No they don’t drop them off at the zoo instead it’s the cat & dog home. Few are rehomed most are put down. But I guess that’s the same the world over.
