The Fiddle Thread

Well, I tried deleting all my Clype files to make room because they told me my account was full, but they still want money now to upload and I don’t like the platform enough to pay for it, so we lost what I had there on this thread…oh well…can’t win them all,

@Fiddle_wood
Nice wheel hoss! Had started working on that one back in Oct, but slacked off. Thanks for the remind .
It figures clyp clipped off at ‘i wonder where you are tonight’ I really really liked that one. I did check out their svc for sharing audio files but couldnt find the free version (maybe it’s gone now), so never signed up.

thanks!

Yes, the free part is gone. It’s not expensive at all for the basic membership…$2-3/mo…But they only use credit card…I’ll just use YouTube I guess.

Same here, not big on signing up for recurring charges on a card…

Sounding good Dave. I just happen to cruise over here to see this thread because I’ve picked up the fiddle some over the past week. I didn’t know you were over here drawing a crowd on Wheel Hoss. Toss up some more, sounds good! May have to work on a guitar break. Speaking of which…

That’s sounds pretty good for what you have. My next move is “sound”. I splurged and finally picked up a new laptop last week, next will be to get one of those Time Machines you are recording with. Model? That sounds pretty good coming from the built in mics. Care to share wake make/model and any “must haves” to go with it?

Good fiddlin’.

Other than a decent set of headphones I don’t really use much else. I’m using some Sennheiser HD 202 They have a pretty heavy Bass response, which you’d want to keep in mind when mixing…otherwise it’s the best set I’ve owned yet…

OK, this one is true challenge for me.
Still lots of work to do…
I think I should have maybe gone more swing the rhythm style?

First 3 breaks were all learned from Justin Branum ('cept he played them a touch better…haha)
Last time through is just me improvising over the extra time on my guitar track…

Each of these breaks is actually supposed to be doubled but I was lazy again and I can only stand a limited duration of hearing myself play out of tune…

Flopareno! What a name!
Not familiar with this one, but I really enjoyed it!
I tend to like swingy tunes so it’d be interesting to see how it sounds that way…

It’s a Kenny Baker tune.

The tune is titled from the nick-name some guy had for Kenny due to his ears I heard…
