Tef files - late to the game

Finally figured out how to make use of the Tef files/tabs. Game changer for me. I feel like someone in those old V8 commercials- “Wow! I could have been using Tef!?!” Next I’ll try using this new thing called text messaging. :sunglasses:

Game changer indeed. If you stick with using TEF files you’ll see a marked improvement in your skill level.

Cool. Similar was the case with me and I was never be able to take decent attempt at the super fast ones until I learnt somehow from this forum about the TEF files.

My learning would be much slower without those TEF files. Just don’t forget that once you get the notes committed to memory, jump over and play along with the jam tracks. It gets you comfortable playing with real instruments.

Allow me to explain text messages: It’s just like sending a telegram. You spell out your message one letter at a time.

Just to add a little value to @Mark_Rocka 's comment

Listen to the TAB TEF File playing through TablEdit, Play along with the TAB TEF File. Build speed with the TAB TEF File in TablEdit. Once you are comfortable and can play along confidently whilst LISTENING to the TEF file and without looking at the TAB You should be ready to jump over and play along with the jam tracks. with some measure of confidence

This is all part of the learning process. What you are doing is, as well as committing these playing skills to memory you are also developing your hearing/memory skills to enable you to play by ear and eventually develop the skills required to improvise.
