I recently bought Tabledit hoping to use it to both transpose music and also make tabs for alternate tunings. Open G being my favorite. So far no luck. Is it possible to use alternate guitar tuning with this software?

To the best of my knowledge you can’t transpose music. You can however change tunings for banjo and guitar.
Look to the top right hand corner numbers 123 etc click on a number it opens a dialogue box, click on tuning and adjust to suit. You can also change instruments. See dropdown box for prerequisite tunings Standard Guitar tuning and DADGAD etc
