@BanjoBen Have you considered carrying Straight Up Strings? I’m no banjo tech nor an accomplished player but their claims of very nice tone and even resonance across all strings seems to be legit. Great sound out of my banjo with them on. I’ll try to post a video later or you could surely find someone online playing them better than I. 
They are a bit pricier than GHS but could be worth it.
