Been struggling to keep interest in playing anything the last month. Fiddled with guitar a bit, my Gretsch Lap Steel and have been jamming through Nine Pound Hammer, enjoying Ben’s other new vids on licks etc. Feeling low as Angels came down to get my Dad on Friday night so he could take His place next to the Lord and many of His Brothers and Sister. He had a good life at 91. He was a CPA for the Motion Picture Industry and inducted into the Academy 40 years ago. My Dad shared His love for musicals with me and was often involved with The “Pink Panther”, James Bond and Rocky movies. In short entertainment has been my life. Right now I am feeling like the happy sounds of out instruments need to take a break. I am just not feeling it. Is there anything I should do daily to help keep the neurons flowing at min. Maybe just roll through a few songs I know well every couple days or something to keep the muscle mem fresh? Sorry to get to be so wordy, just feeling like venting in a productive way to save me from not starting up Bluegrass again. God Bless you all this holiday season and keep your loved ones close.

Stopping for a few weeks. Feeling empty
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficulty time JT.
Hey JT,
Sorry to hear about your Pop, sure sounds like a special guy! You should feel no guilt in putting the instruments down for a while, taking time to grieve. They’ll call you back when you’re ready.
TY so much B. Ben. Yea He was amazing. Hoping to be back soon and ready to “Keep on Truckin”. All the best to you and yours.

Very sorry for your loss, JT. I lost my dad in July. He was 92, but we’re never ready for that empty feeling. Your dad is still keeping watch over you, though, so keep playing for him.
May the peace and presence of the Lord be with you and your family during this difficult time of grieving.
JKL thank you
Thank you Rspillers
TY so much Tim…God Bless
