Snow Snow and more Snow

Well we are getting dumped on today, tons of snow. I believe we are suppose to get around 15 inches today. So I find myself on the Forum and thought maybe some people could post some snow pictures. I trieded but file was too big. Will try and figure it out later. Lots of time to play my banjo today.

As always, it’s ice, ice (baby) here in Texas. Thankfully more of a rime ice, so not as treacherous, but still things are fairly well shut down. I’ll be getting a neighborhood jam going later today. That and keeping my instruments humidified, making a loaf of sourdough and playing in the icy snow with the local kids should round things out pretty well.
And thank the Lord, the power has stayed on! Yay!
Stay warm!

Our power has stayed on so far, thankfully! I took the kids out ice-sledding through the pastures. I couldn’t go too fast as a crash could be devastating, but Crockett still loved it!

My brothers and I have a thing here in Michigan called dead man’s hill. It’s a massive hill for sledding. We wax up our sleds and get a running head start, halfway down we crash on purpose, rolling the rest of the way down. when it snows really bad, we go.

Up here in the Appalachian mountains we only got about 2 inches of snow so far, and then about half an inch of ice. It’s been very disappointing so far lol.

We only got about 3-4 inches of snow here in Nashville but lots of ice. It’s still on the ground.

Up in Wisconsin we only have a couple inches. But we’ve got the cold weather. This was last Friday:

Saturday morning spent sipping jet fuel coffee and glassing my chicken coop to see if any of the girls would brave the cold and come out to eat.
