While canoeing the Black River near our house, my daughter & I were surprised by an otter that popped up right next to the boat, inches away from my daughter’s paddle. We’re used to seeing beavers, but this was a first.
What a thrill! The cute critter hung around for about 5 minutes, diving under the boat & generally frolicking. He moved like he had no bones, one with the water.
What a special moment!
