Thread title says it all. My daughter is learning Fiddle, taking lessons from Shawn Lane, but I am curious if anyone knows of any sites similar to this one, but for fiddle?
Site Similar to BanjoBen for Fiddle?
Check out bluegrass daddy by John Cockman.
Hi Ryan - Watch This Space - @BanjoBen has been hinting for some time that changes are on there way here on banjobenclark.com No timeline as yet
In the meantime you might take a look at ArtistWorks https://artistworks.com/
If you live near New Athens Illinois check out the Bluegrass Shack https://www.facebook.com/bluegrassshack/ Chris Talley has taught some fine young fiddlers in the past ten years I have been trawling YouTube
+1 for ArtistWorks. Tried BluegrassDaddy, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for. YMMV.
I would love for Ben to add Fiddle, but in the meantime I may check out Artistworks for her. I did some Dobro lessons on there at one point.
I’ve been learning fiddle for about a year now and have been using fiddlehed.com. I like his site and lessons. He offers his own unique tab format and also has the standard notation for each song. I started learning with the tabs but after a while I have begun to be able to read standard notation some. I also have some favorite YouTube channels that I have learned quite a lot from. They are “The Tune Project”, “Katy Adelson”, and “Violin Viola Masterclass” if you wanted to check them out. Hope this helps some.
Jamie.
