I run on a homeschool team here in Wisconsin. Been running since 8th grade and this is my senior year (my last track season).

I have RUN ( well not quite ) WALKED a marathon in my younger days. I am now a couch potato.

I don’t run over a couple miles at a time anymore. Most of the running I do is sprint intervals nowadays. My knees can’t take the impact anymore of long distance.
When I started having knee problems, I had an old doctor (former surgeon general of the USAF) convince me to start rucking/hiking for sustained cardio workouts. I know this isn’t what you asked and I’m sorry for bloviating!
