I’m guessing most of y’all have heard the news from yesterday. One of the greatest baritone voices to grace bluegrass. I always so badly wished I could sing like him, listening to LRB copiously when I was 17. He was effortlessly cool.

Man, this was so sad. I hadn’t seen Ronnie in several years but am thankful our paths crossed here and there. I’m bummed that I can’t find the worktapes we made of songs we wrote together.
This is tragic. The voice that defined 90s bluegrass was a great way to put it. Of course his solo albums are classics too. Tremendous loss to the bluegrass world.
