Right hand timing/drive exercises

Looking for exercise suggestions that one could do daily with the metronome that would help develop a strong driving/rhythmic right hand for playing with a combo of melodic, single and Scruggs styles ? Ideas ?

Start here, my friend. I love this–it’s an older lesson but I still use this exercise a ton: https://banjobenclark.com/lessons/introduction-to-melodic-banjo-banjo

I like this one as well. I can’t do it very fast yet but it’s cool. I also enjoy the Descending Pattern lesson ( I don’t know how to put that address thing in to take you to that) it’s in the lessons list. This one has been very helpful in finding my way around the fretboard.:sunglasses:

Thanks Ben – I love this melodic scale exercise and restarted doing it at the start of every day. Eventhough Scruggs is not scale based I have been wondering what sort of daily exercise with the metronome one might do to strengthen basic roll patters/licks up and down the neck. Any ideas ?
