Geniuses aren’t like you & me, but we share many of the same traits.

Rick Beato with Chris Thile
I haven’t finished it yet, but I have been enjoying it so far .
I just finished it. There’s a lot to take in, so its best to take small bites then digest.
His musicianship is uncanny.
I like how he gives Rick a little knowing smile about some Bach variation. The rest of us are like “Of course, yeah… that’s how I’d play it too.” At one point Rick was like, “that looks really hard.” Chris went and added more slides and harmonics.
I like how only Thile would say something like “I had to change the way I played a repeated section just to keep things interesting” when it is already extremely complicated.
Nice one @Michael_Mark that was so funny. I can now see what you have to work on @BanJoe your facial expressions are not up to par
The whole section talking about the Virzi/non-Virzi is really cool. Been doing a little bit of research on the topic since getting to play a couple of Loars this summer. I played two non-Virzis, and both were incredible! It’s interesting to hear all of Chris’s knowledge about those instruments
