They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Remembrance Sunday
I had to look this up to be reminded, thank you.
Lest we forget… Here’s how we deal in the kingdom of God. Even if we were to go to Mexico!
Any other vets here?
I was in the army and deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006
Longest year of my life, leaving a son(5) and daughter(3) home at the time.
Certainly changed me in a lot of ways. Some good, and some not good ways. Cost me a marriage and all sorts of other related issues but thankfully…. Got through it all with the help of a new wife, and developing a relationship with God.
@bronk5150, sorry to hear what you had to go through. It’s better to do the Lord’s battle, instead. (Of course, not in the sense it is understood today in churches.) So that these types of wars will not happen.
Here’s what happens and is happening when God judges among the people and rebuke nations. The worldly governments perform the below duty to make people do their own labor and helps them to protect the fruits of their labor to eat off it without being plucked off from their hands.
Micah 4:4
4 But they (the nations) shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.
Kind words and yes….been almost 20 years. New wife helped me overcome a lot of personal insecurities and the like.
Music has been such a big influence as well……
Served 9 years as a combat radio op in the Royal Corps of Signals. Mostly in Germany. Belfast Northern Ireland 1973 in an Infantry Role during the Troubles, shot at several times and had a nail bomb thrown at me. I was lucky to serve out the tour unscathed. My last three years as a Recruit Training Instructor in the UK. Married 54 years, raised two wonderful daughters four granddaughters and a grandson. I know the good Lord watches over me.
@bronk5150 Army Chief here, Signal Corps . I bet the comms @Archie used were just as reliable than what we use now. I appreciate you telling us a bit about your experience. Having eachother is still the best medicine.
I can’t go into any detail. Official Secret Act still applies. Lets just say the stuff I worked on was the forerunner of modern day communications and leave it at that.
Thank you for your service!
Let us see how reliable can the comms be…
