I arrived home after a meeting with my boss. I turned on the TV in time to see the second plane crashing into the tower. I immediately called my boss who was driving down to his home in England. I told him to turn on his radio as likely as not we would be at war to support the USA. I reminded him we had a co-worker on holiday in Boston and to check with him to see if he was ok. I was transfixed to the TV for the rest of the day and watched as the towers collapsed. I watched in horror as people jumped from high up on the tower. A vision that will remain with me for the rest of my days.

Thank you Archie for posting this and reminding people of that horrific day. I was there in Manhattan that day and I lost 3 of my uniformed brothers . It was surreal that day…the ground trembled when the Towers fell…the dust and ash. The horrible smell that filled the air for months. Two generations of Americans have no idea of the magnitude. Americans rallies together after, we came together, college students would bring food, cookies and water to us. We need more love now more than ever. God bless America
