Practice w a external looping device

Anyone use a looper boss rc1 for example for practice?

I record practice tracks in Logic Pro on my Mac to practice to… I have used looper pedals before… and they are fun.

I have, but I am hooked on Strumming Machine and on Banjo Ben’s Gold Pick backing tracks. I find that loopers are better for “jam band-y” stuff, like back in the old days when I’d want to play a 30 minute Sugaree or He’s Gone solo
