Im trying to create a banjo part for a song in the key of F and the verse drones from Dm to C
The chorus is F C/F C/Am Dm/Am Dm/Bb/A
Should i be playing in open G or using a capo out of either C D

I would tune down a whole step to open F, but that’s just what I would do
Well, I don’t know about the melody or the verse but that particular group of chords plays very well in open G. The fifth string G can work with all those chords (being a 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th of any of those chords).

How about Capo up 3 frets and play in D ?
