I was perusing the California Bluegrass Association webpage today and noted this on-line banjo camp in Live Oak, Florida. It features some notable instructors in both claw hammer and bluegrass styles, as well as other instruments. If you’ve got cabin fever and need to imagine a banjo camp, this is an option.
This is the same festival grounds that @MissMaggie wrote about in a highly rated review (Suwannee Spring Reunion Music Festival Trip Report). I drive through that area once a year on my way to my vacation fishing grounds. On nearly every trip, I stop at the Busy Bee truck stop just off Highway 10 and I used to wonder where are the hippies in North Florida were coming from. Question answered.
