New book from the Brainjo Author

I thought I would shared this since there have been several references to the book Brainjo by Josh Turknett on the forum. Josh Turknett just released a new book named " Anyone Can Play Music: Unlock Your Musical Potential with the Laws of Brainjo"

I just finished reading this book and have read his previous book. To me, it appears the material in this book is very similar to the material in his Laws of Brainjo book. It has been expanded some and has more references to using the principles for other areas than banjo. For me, being a person who likes to understand more about how things work, this helped me better understand how the brain works when learning a musical instrument. This was especially helpful for me having been someone whose musical training was classical in nature. Learning bluegrass has been a stretch for to understand being able to do anything without written music in front of me. Turknett’s coverage of the difference between fluency and recitation was very inciteful for me understanding how I need to change my approach in learning if I want to be able to become fluent in my music rather than just be able to recite what someone else has written down.
