Please pray for my first cousin, Karen. She plays the piano and sings with me at our church. Today she was diagnosed with Stage 4 small cell lung cancer. It has also moved into her ribs and hip. She’s the blond you see standing in the center by her husband.
Need prayer for my cousin!
Prayers on the way

Praying for her!
I am agreeing with and joining those who are praying.
I share this as an encouragement: In February a friend and pastor told me he had a plasma cancer that wasn’t curable. He requested prayers for his family and for quality of life for whatever time he had left. Of course we prayed as requested, but we also prayed big, hairy, audacious prayers for complete healing. A couple months later, we got news that the original diagnosis was “wrong” and it was now a lung cancer that had spread. I don’t recall before being thankful for a cancer diagnosis, but I was thankful for that change. He had three rounds of chemo scheduled. Due to immunoresponse, he had to take a break before the second round. He finally got the green light and had a scan last week. He is already in remission! They are going to continue with the planned chemo to try to ensure they get it all, but still… Go God!!! Prayer works!
prayers for your cousin.
Lifting her up. May God be glorified!
Praying for Karen today.
Having been at the “bad news” end of some health issues, my prayers will be for you & her family.
It may sound odd, but in my experience, the uncertainly of these situations preys harder on those who can only stand by and watch. The tension, uncertainty, fear are a terrible burden. At least the sick person has something to do! (Go to chemo, eat this pill, whatever.) But to be one waiting can be horrible.
My prayers are with you & Karen’s loved ones.
Karen, you and the family are wrapped in prayer my friend!!!
