Hey Y’all……I bought this electric banjo a few weeks ago on EBay for a $160 bucks. It needed a lot of work. I had to replace the pickup under the head, make a cover for the rear electronics cavity, and replace some head brackets. I was able to get it up and running with stuff I had around the house. Today I played a little “Milk Cow Blues” over a Blues shuffle backing track and thought I would share. I don’t think there’s a lot of folks on the site that like electric banjo, so hopefully I don’t get kicked off the forum for this😂
Milk Cow Blues on Electric Banjo
I forgot to mention that I put Banjo Ben medium gauge strings on this bad boy!
Sounds great! I got introduced to that song from a George Strait CD Box set and now I just hear the King singing in my head as you play the melody (he sang it a little slower though)
Thanks, George Strait is one of my favorite artists. I learned this song years ago from a neighbor friend of mine who I used to jam with. He played a lot of old Jimmy Rodgers. Hank Williams, type tunes. Like, “T For Texas”, “TB Blues”, and this song. He passed away a few years back. I just played it on regular banjo when we jammed and loved to improvise on it. I thought it would sound good on electric banjo.
That is outstanding!! Great job dude!
