Hope to see you all at our next Forum Hangout on Tuesday, March 10!

The theme this time around will be taking hymns and well-known songs and quickly transferring their melodies to your instrument so that you can easily craft song intros. If you play at church, around campfires, or anywhere else you need to lead a group of people, this is a valuable skill!

Never been to a hangout before? It’ll be hosted on Zoom. All you need is a device with a microphone and webcam (i.e. most any laptop, smartphone, or tablet). You can also join the hangout without your microphone or camera on at all. Feel free to ask if you need any help!

Patrick… I pretty much only play in church now. I would be glad to make myself available to you if you need help in that area. Been doing it for over 25 years now.

This was my first time joining in on a hangout and it was very informative. Unfortunately, I couldn’t hear the instruments on my computer. The verbal discussion came across great, but when instruments were played, the sound cut out. I know this is an issue with my computer, because no one else mentioned it. I am no tech. guy by any means, but my son said it might have been a filter on my Zoom program? Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? It tinkered with the speaker and sound settings but it didn’t help. I look forward to watching the recorded version to get what I missed. It was a lot of fun and extremely valuable information.
