As a mandolin player with no calluses due to not playing for several years, I was inspired to lower the action at the 12th fret from .08+ to .062 inches for the the E string. I realize action height is a personal preference, however, I am curious to what each of your preferences are.

I’m not super scientific about it. Essentially I have it as low as I can get it to go without it beginning to buzz on any frets
