I’ve put it off long enough…my strings have no life left in them. Here’s my question. Previously, I’ve used a luthier’s knot on the peg. But I watched Ben’s video on guitar string changes and love how he simply loops the string over the peg and starts winding. That’s how I change my guitar strings now. Is there any reason I can’t use that same method on my mandolin?

That is how I do the wound strings and I have never had an issue with it.
