Looking for some ideas

So I’ve been asked to play on a music set featuring various songs. Many not normally played on banjo. Looking for any ideas on this clip of Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. When violin starts it’s basically 4 measures of each starting with Am to C to F to E (G positions in Bm). Not trying to replicate the violin, just something that complements the rhythm.

Suggestions?

Awesome advice. I going to work on that. I had come up with 1/8 note forward and backward rolls changing between 1st positions then moving up the neck a little. I think I will start off with yours and second time through solo switch over to 1/8 notes. Thanks Ben!
