Got to see this item up close today. Maybe the first Bluegrass guitar ever? It’s a 1942 Martin D-18.

That’s neat to see! Where was that?
Oh my! What a wonderful moment! You must have heard some amazing echos in your mind of what this guitar shared!
I’m at the Bluegrass Heritage Festival in Dallas. Waiting for the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys to come out.
It’s been a great weekend.
The guitar that made up the G run!?
Excellent!
The owner (who lives in San Antonio) brought the guitar to the 2023 Bluegrass Heritage Festival (held in Farmers Branch Texas) for folks to see and enjoy. We got the story on the guitar and got to take some good pictures of it. Everything is now posted on the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation website. Lester Flatt Martin D-18 #81197 |
