I really need to learn more about playing in the key of Aminor, like scales, licks, rolls, etc… I’ll be playing in a bluegrass band this next summer for a festival. and they play A Lot in Aminor and D. So…maybe @BanjoBen you can do a lesson? Thanks.
Lesson request!
Cattle in the Cane has some A minor in it. Cold Frosty Morning is in A minor though I’m using a capo and playing out of G position (very helpful). Wayfaring Stranger is the same way
I’ve been working on Wayfaring Stranger this week. It’s a LOT of fun, and Ben’s lesson is full of ideas to make it sound bluesy. It’s one of those songs I’d recommend listening to several times and then trying your hand at it before listening to the lesson. I was surprised at how good I was able to make it sound without spending any time on the lesson material itself (which is really my ultimate goal, anyway.)
@Mark_Rocka That’s awesome! I should try that one out. I’m working on Jerusalem’s ridge (Noam Pickleny) It’s so hard but i got A and B part down. But the C and D part are the hardest!
