Both Jens & Uwe blow me away with their level of musicianship. Yes, I get it that they have been at it a long time, but that’s not the reason. There seems to be such a great unspoken communication between them when they play. They are so good at listening to what the other is doing & finding amazing ways to compliment it.
They aren’t always bluegrass, but then neither were Flatt & Scruggs.

Telepathy springs to mind. They are quite unique and I think Flatt & Scruggs had that same unspoken communication between them too.

The kruger brother are one of my absolute favorite groups. I love the Roan Mtn Suite.

Up 18 North is one of my favorites but vies with John’s Gone. I always enjoy how much fun they have telling their stories and making jokes in between the songs.

I was corrected, so I pass it on: It’s “ Jack of the Wood” (singular).
It’s the name of a bar where they used to play.
