Huge shout-out to @Jake and the General Store! I ordered the RK-R36 a little over a week ago, and it arrived yesterday! There is absolutely nothing that I don’t like about the instrument! It came really close to in tune, so I could play it almost immediately. If you’ve ever bought an instrument from the General Store, you’ll know what I’m talking about, but I’ve never seen anything packed so well. In spite of the solid packing, and the banjo being in a box within a box, I had that thing out in probably less than two minutes! It is my first good banjo, and I am well satisfied with it! Thank you, again, @Jake and General Store team! You’ve made my learning a lot easier with such a great instrument!

Really happy for ya. I’ve bought a couple of instruments from the boys at the General Store, and had the same experience. I’ve heard “don’t buy an instrument without playing it first.” I know that’s true in some circumstances, but I also know if it’s good enough for Jake and 'dem to play, it’s good enough for me.
