closest jam I could find is ~1 hr away in Walland…held every Friday.
The last time I was there, they had a bluegrass band playing at Smokey Mountain Moonshine, but no jam sessions that I ever heard about. The band was Hurricane Creek.
Called my buddy who used to live and perform in Pigeon Forge. He said there are a lot of jams around there, but they are very “clannish” i.e. not really welcoming to new folks unless you came with someone they knew
I ran into the same thing when I lived in Vine Grove, KY for a couple years. Lots of jams but not very friendly to outsiders.
