The wife and I had our 15th anniversary this week–seems like it’s only been 14! Seriously, I just can’t believe how blessed of a feller I am with Hannah. She quit her job last spring after our kids’ school was wiped out by a tornado to homeschool. She has done the best job managing everything outside of Banjo Ben, which is way more than inside of Banjo Ben.
Anyway, she loves to ski (I do, too, kind of) and we’re headed to Jackson Hole for a few days. I am extremely heavy and the gravity in Jackson is really strong. I will ask for the slowest skis in the shop, but wish me luck. If I don’t make it, split my instruments up between the youngins on the forum.
Honestly, we both need a break and we’re so looking forward to getting away together. We will ski on Monday/Tuesday, but have a free day on Wednesday. Anyone know of any adventures? We both LOVE unique escapades. Last time we went we snowmobiled to Old Faithful. This year we tried to reserve a sled dog tour to the hot springs but they’re booked up solid. I also tried to arrange a backcountry airplane ride but the prices are just way too high ($850 for an hour!). If anyone has an idea or connection to get us backcountry, see some animals, or do something off the beaten path–please advise!

I too guess you guys need a break! Enjoy yourselves!
! Have fun! We used to ski alot “back in the day,” never did powder out west, it was heavy snow or hard pack and ice in New England & east Canada. Something I learned the hard way, don’t go off the designated trail at nite

unless you’re cross country skiing in the moonlight… ofc they probably dont have night skiing out west…
