If We Make it Through December

Little recording today… Guitar and Vocals are first take, Dobro I made up/learned as I went, so third take-ish?
This was my first time playing this song, any song with minor chords, and out of open A on the dobro, so it was very educational.
(video will go live at midnight cst, if you can’t see it yet)

Thanks!! The goal with the dobro was to make everything just a little better, but not be too overbearing

It gave the “band” effect and made it really good though!

Nice! 10 days to go!

The key seems a little low for your voice; I think your low notes would be stronger in B (that’s not a joke FYI). C would also be nice if you wanted to play out of open C position

Fun job on this Gunner…the dobro was a nice touch! :slightly_smiling_face:

This is correct. I originally intended to add fiddle and harmony vocals, both of which work best in A. If I’m just singing it I usually do D.
I didn’t realize until after I recorded the first track that I can’t find the harmony vocal to this song lol

Just sing whatever note is right in your own eyes, because there was no Michael Mark in Texas
