It’s a hot summer day so I took my banjo to the shade of the front porch to do a little noodling & sip some iced tea.
While picking, the trash man came on his weekly rounds. As he stepped down from his truck his ears perked up. Suddenly he starts stamping his foot & clapping in time. After I was done he came up to the porch and said, “You know, that’s tricky to play. I know some guitar players & they all say the banjo is tricky to play.”
My first compliment from an unbiased audience!
I had to choke down the laughter and thank him.
