Hi There,
Mumford and sons I Will Wait is what got me started thinking about banjo. I would like to start to play it now that I have my feet wet. The tuning is what I am struggling with. How do I get to Ab Db Gb B.B. Db.much appreciated!

You can capo at first fret and play out of C position.
very dumb question but I am only like a month into this…does capo at the first fret get you to c position or does “play at c position” mean something else?
Thank you!
Hey @edciesielski, welcome to the forum! If you are confused about capo strategy, watch this lesson:

If you’re talking about tuning the individual strings of the banjo to those notes rather than a chord progression with those chords, then it looks like you’ll want to tune the four long strings of your banjo down a half step, and tune or spike the fifth string up a half step. This tuning would be suited to playing out of a D position in Db.
That extra capitol B threw me…Six strings with two adjacent tuned to the same note made no sense for a tuning, so I figured it had to be the progression…haha
