How cool is this - Charlie Belle takes to the sky

Charlie Belle and Ellie Mae so calm & cool.

This was Charlie Belle’s first time to lift the plane off the ground, and Ellie landed exceptionally well for not looking at the runway!

Let me get this straight @BanjoBen you let these kids swap seats mid-flight and Elie Mae brought you back to earth in one piece. Learning banjo ain’t no easy task but flying a plane that is serious stuff.

“There are old pilots & there are bold pilots.
But there are no old, bold pilots.”

I think I’m turning into a curmudgeon. I saw a neighbor lady wearing flip-flops mowing her lawn. It made me cringe thinking of accidents. Two hours later, another woman down the street lost a couple toes when she ran over her foot with her lawn mower.
I’ve become the guy who will be the first to tell you not to run with scissors, make sure your seat belt is buckled, put your life jacket on and don’t EVER think the gun is not loaded.
I know I should just mind my own business.
Alas, when bad things happen, they happen very, very fast.

My favorite part was Ellie Mae landing the plane without looking at the runway. Hilarious. Those kiddos are too cute and I love watching all the things Ben teaches them. I feel blessed to be a small part of their lives through this site, (including Katy and Penny). They’re such an inspiration!

Magic happens in mid-air and seats swapped! Lovely kids.

I can’t tell you how many people I have seen try to land not looking outside

That’s awesome buddy!!!

Sorry to nitpick, but I think the pilot’s seat belt needs to be swapped left to right to get the shoulder harness correct (lemme know if that doesn’t make sense). Assuming you had it fastened that is… when I first saw it, I thought Ben had grown a pony tail.

Not that there is anything wrong with Ben sporting a pony tail, if he feels so inclined.

I was sure he had a ponytail when he had that mullet

That harness connects above the door but the 40±year-old hole it’s supposed to attach to doesn’t work so well anymore.
