Hey It's Good to Be Back Home Again

Hmm, isn’t that a song somewhere? Ah well, back from 6 weeks Down Under…nice vacation that included a hurricane, white water rafting, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge AND my first ever bungee jump. (Video available if ya wanna see that.) What WAS I thinking?

Anyway, time to get back into music. I’m the “jam coach” again for a once-weekly intro to bluegrass jam class. The instructor has me on the guitar with is NOT my strongest instrument at all…prefer mandolin…but this gives me a good reason to work on the guitar.

What sucks is that I am totally lacking motivation because as soon as we got back the other day I got whacked with a nasty cold…nasty. Ah well, this too shall pass. Better get back to the music room…

Hope y’all are well!

Forget all the touristy crappola. Everybody’s doing hurricanes or blizzards these days. Let’s get down to the real deal.

Did you enjoy any Vegemite sandwiches while you were there? :yum:
“Tastes like Australia!”

I have to confess that I did NOT eat a Vegemite sandwich. My real excuse is I never saw it on a menu or in a cafe and I didn’t want to buy a whole jar of it…can’t take it home. Perhaps next time!

Bummer. Between “taste like Australia” and the line in the song "Down Under’ by Men At Work, I wouldn’t have been able to resist dropping a couple bucks just for the novelty of it!
Maybe next time!

It’s not often you will find a home staple on a menu. PB&J’s or Bologna sandwiches don’t make it very often & neither does Scrambled Eggs & Spam, yet millions of people eat it every day.
I’ll bet somewhere in Sydney is a little mom-and-pop cafe that serves breakfast all day and Vegemite sandwiches for lunch or dinner. :yum:
