Hey folks… My name is Tom (my favorite people on the planet call me Pops - that’s 3 of the most beautiful grandbabies these eyes have ever seen)
I’m a lifelong piano player (southern gospel/church). I haven’t played an instrument in about 10 years (I’m 54) after some serious illness starting in about 2015. I’m legally blind and totally disabled (means nothing here except to say I have a bunch of time on my hands).
I don’t have a fancy git-fiddle but only a meager Yamaha FG830. I’ve had it set up professionally and I’ve signed up for Gold Pick… I look forward to learning how to pick this thing… Maybe one day, if I can learn to pick it well enough, I’ll upgrade to a fancier guitar.
I know open position chords and bar chords from playing around with a guitar over the years. But, this is a new season for me and I look forward to flatpicking a guitar as my main thing.
Hope this post is acceptable.
