As I understand it, these gemsbok voluntarily gave their lives when they found out Gunnar would be making them in to mandolin straps.

Well, humans occur in nature… and as I understand it this particular one met its end at the tip of a natural wooden arrow, shot from a natural wooden bow, and fed an entire village for several weeks.
At least that’s what I like to tell myself
