Guitar Player/Singer wanted

Nothin Fancy Bluegrass Band needs a new member for the band. With the pandemic still at large and a very limited supply of performances lined up for early 2021, we will not be able to try people out in the same ways that we’ve done in the past. Please contact Mike Andes or Chris Sexton by email if you would like to audition or have a recommendation and we will send you details then. We are specifically looking for a guitar player who sings tenor and tenor parts in harmony. http://www.nothinfancybluegrass.com/

News on the guitar/tenor vocalist audition:

The audition will be scheduled most likely for late February or early March, and there are set lists to be sent out to the applicants. We would like everyone to have an equal opportunity to learn the material through all the applicants receiving the material at the same time; therefore, the deadline for audition requests and recommendations will be February 1. Please have a link available or be ready to send files of your playing and singing (preferably in video format); let us know if you have any trouble getting us the material.

Share this as appropriate, and email contact is preferred at chris@nothinfancybluegrass.com.

Of curiosity, what is your relationship to the band? I looked and I think they’re looking for someone better than me or I’d audition

WOW… I haven’t been in the forum for a while and just saw your post, Gunnar. I am only a friend of Mike Andes and the band, so I passed this search along. I’m not sure what the status is at this point in time. The band are IBMA winners of past, if that’s any help. I supplied contact info so, it’s up to the band to say if you are of the caliber they want.
