Guitar and banjo

Guys what’s the thinking about playing the guitar and the banjo at the same time? Does one skill infringe on the other?

I find playing different instruments to be a big advantage.

You can accompany yourself.

When you get tired o one you can go to the other. it keeps things interesting and also changes some of the muscles you might be straining if your tensing up or holding one position too long.

Are you starting both as a beginner?

I think that if you enjoy playing two different instruments, then that’s great. I play both the mandolin and guitar. The biggest challenge is dedicating time to practice both. So try to fine a balance but don’t let that stop you, just enjoy the journey.
