Got to hear Ricky Skaggs last night

Got to hear the most incredible show i’ve heard yet last night. My first time hearing Ricky Skaggs and KT and I was blown away. I thought i’d share a few videos for all that have never seen him before.

That was awesome. Especially Russ Carson’s banjo!

The entire thing was great. I was stunned by each individual member and the sound of the whole band together.

Whoa!! Sometimes you forget just how good these guys are :joy: :joy:

We’re planning to see them just before Cabin Camp this fall; I’m so looking forward to hearing them.
Also, I can’t think of anyone better to take over Paul Brewster’s tenor job than Mike Rogers. I love his singing with DLQ!

Yes Mike Rogers fits in great. He’s so fun to watch and has such a nice voice too. You’re going to enjoy hearing them live @Michael_Mark. They sound tighter than anything else I’ve heard.

I’m so proud of you!! Those are some good guys on that stage, besides the music talent, honored to call them friends.

Fun fact, Mike Rogers hired me to play piano for Craig Morgan. Mike was the drummer/band leader.

Hi @Timothy_L I am so glad you’ve had an opportunity to meet with and listen to such great players. Ricky met Flatt & Scruggs when he was a boy and I am sure it had a massive impact on him at such an early age now we see history repeating itself who knows where you will be in 20 - 30 years time but one thing is for sure the events you experienced these past days will remain with you for the rest of your days.

I was at the Friday night show in Hopewell, VA. Is that the one you went to?

No I was at the show the night before in Newberry SC. I think they were probably pretty similar being just one day apart. Amazing though

Dennis Parker gave his testimony during the concert. It was heartfelt and moving. He spoke about addiction, his mom, the strained relationship with his dad, and how Christ restored him. Then he sang a song to honor his dad. It was hard to keep it together, a punch right in the feelies.

See my video above! I saw him do the same thing the night before.

Did you think Jake Workman was all right?

Ah, yes. I see it now. Thanks. Jake is incredible.

Seemed to be playing pretty slow don’t you think? Almost like he wasn’t really in practice like he needed to be.

@Flatpickin_Libby I went to your YouTube channel and also watched you pick with Jake. You and @Timothy_L both sounded great. Did you get to spend much time with him?
