Thoughts? I personally think it’s awesome
Gospel Breakdance?
First, what a shame that so much of his fancy foot fiddlin’ was blocked by the monitor wedges. Second, I think you love it because y’all look alike.
lol. looked alike!
I feel like I’m watching a worship fails video without watching a worship fails video.
Fake dance! Now check this out…
I can’t tell if I’m impressed, amused, disturbed, or if I wish I had never seen that.
I’m ok with being disturbed. My personal opinion, but church oughtta not be that …argh.
I would love for these folks to come to our church just so I could watch the congregation’s reactions. I thought DJ Truth was my favorite participant until the break dance. Break dancer gets the win.
All said, these folks are talented and put a ton of work into the whole production. I’ll just leave it there… keeping on the sunny side.
You know, this might be sneaky brilliant… every once in a while, a bizarre or annoying commercial comes along. It gets a bunch of buzz. The funny thing is that it is very effective advertising. I still remember a hokey Mentos commercial from the last century. I don’t even particularly like Mentos. Here we have a video of people singing about Jesus with about half a million hits. That’s better than I have done.
I’m going with slightly disturbing…
See, Jesus reduced to advertising material to procure million hits!
Speaking of Mentos commercial, I remember this from long ago. I don’t fully understand that language, but I get that joke,
I know, and frankly I’d agree with the sad face, but Jesus did tell John that " for whoever is not against us is for us." in Mark 9. It’s a struggle for me to not judge how others do things, but I am not sure I should be the arbiter of what is the acceptable way for people to worship (or whatever in the church).
Now all that said, please don’t let me put a damper on the enjoyment of the Christian Break Dance. I laughed out loud when I saw it.
@Mike_R, I’m not so much against the outward expression like break dance, but I’m suspicious of the gospel just like with any other churches. But if you have true Jesus, nothing should dampen your spirit, so go ahead and enjoy, as things from outside would not corrupt you. It looked funny to me too, maybe in a different way!
Btw, I have million other similar things to say like that (really), wonder how would that be when said! But take it easy!
Well when I saw it I laughed and thought … “Nope, not cool at all”. Then I remembered ole David dancing his little half nekkid butt off before the Lord in 2 Samuel. And when Michal his wife said (in Redneck paraphrase), “you just made a darn fool of yourself out there”, David said, “I will celebrate before the Lord and look even more undignified than this…” And we know what happened to Michal. So I say… dance on (hahaha).
In that context…
You see, David’s spirit was first dampened/disturbed when the ark of the Lord (aka word of God which is blessing of God) was about to come to him! (Misunderstanding… He must be misled by fake church!)
II Samuel 6:9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?
But when the ark of the Lord really came to him afterwards, his spirit was uplifted!
You know the rest of the story!
Agreed
Thanks!
My only real complaint is that it’s not actually breakdance, it’s more the beginning of hiphop
Never thought i’d pray for amnesia. Lord, have Mercy!
Christain music has gone in different directions over the years. Back in the day may picture Christain music consisting of a church congregation singing hymns such as Rock of Ages and Onward Christain Soldiers. Some may find it better for the music to have taken on different forms, while others may still believe in the traditional, while still others may say as long as the right message is there, then various forms of expressions are well and good.
