Galax Fiddlers Convention

Hope you Galax bound folks are somehow able to do a video (or 10… :upside_down_face: ) to eventually share with us here. If there’s even time for that, what with all the
picking & grinnin you’ll be doing  !!

I know John’s family pretty well, I’ve met the others a few times.

I don’t know, but I think John might come as well.

He just won a second Henderson Dreadnought at some competition, and I got to play it yesterday! But he probably won’t be at Galax, because he only plays contests where you win instruments

I wanna compete at that Wayne Henderson festival someday too. You never know…

So do I!!! I seriously thought about going this year. But it’s a long trip for us and we’re already making it in August, so I didn’t really think it would work out to make the same trek in June too. Hopefully someday. I would love to own a Henderson someday… Zeb Snyder told me you have to get to know Wayne or else win the contest!

How many children does John have now? When we saw them he had the two daughters Arwen and Lorien and they had adopted a younger daughter… Morgen I think. But weren’t they going to adopt more? We have a membership to his fiddle site but honestly haven’t used it much I guess…

Now I just have to arrange it…

He’s got 6 now, Arwen, Lorien, Morgan, Daniel, Rowan and Elowen (who are twins). I didn’t know Morgan was adopted, but I know the youngest three are

Hey, it’s Gunnar. Where you been lately?

Me: This would be a great day to work on my Galax arrangement!

Other me: actually let’s play the Thunderclouds of Love break 5000 times first

Goodbye Liza Jane in A, with the A string dropped to G.

Nice. So did you call them and they said you could do that?

Yep, the guy said he didn’t think it would be a problem.

Is anyone backing you up? I’m having my dad play bass with me, like I did last year.

I’ll probably have a mandolinist back me up, @Lucy_L or @Dragonslayer could one of you be that person?
