My wife & I watched “The Hiding Place” last night - the story of Corrie Ten Boom & her family. The comparisons are eerily similar to what is going on in this world right now. Good for the Canadian truckers!

I didn’t know that was a movie, I’ll have to look for it. It is one of the most impactful stories I have ever read. It is amazing that it is NOT fiction and I had to keep reminding myself of that.

The government of Canada, because of cov-mmmrrfffff, has instituted some strict restrictions on both their citizens and truckers crossing their border, especially regarding the va-mmmmrrrffff, and people who are still willing and unafraid to stand up to authoritarian measures have organized a nonviolent protest/rally against said measures with a large convoy of truckers at the Canadian border.
That’s the simple version…

that pretty much sums it up. whatever you do don’t watch what the news says, it is wildly inaccurate. I have many buddies currently in Ottawa and their personal stories are completely opposite to what the lying news sources are saying. The only accurate news site is Rebel News as far as I know. There are also several Facebook groups (Freedom Convoy 2022 Restart, Convoy to Ottawa) which are made of many people in Ottawa and many many supporters. As far as I can see these are fairly accurate.

Sounds no different than US news. And good for them! We Americans need to take a page from their book and do the same in every state as well as at the federal level.

Ya I am shocked at my country to be honest. We are seeing country after country around the world standing up to the government agenda but i never expected a nice friendly country like Canada to lead the charge. I am finally becoming proud to be a canadien. Almost every major city in Canada as well as many smaller ones are holding thier own convoys and peaceful protests. It’s not just Ottawa. Poor Trudeau made himself look like a real fool when he called us a “Fringe minority with unexceptable views” Unfortunatly for him it seems like Elon Musk was right when he said the government is the minority.
