Well I finally put a new neck on my frankenbanjo. It plays and sounds great. I was a little nervous about drilling the screw holes into the heel, but it was not as hard as I though it would be. I love the way banjos bolt together rather than glue like most other instruments. This was also the first time I have installed frets on a neck. I purchased the neck with finger board and truss rod already installed. Fret slots were already cut. I did the rest. It is really satisfying to play.
