That’s good stuff. I will never forget my first check ride.
Sooo…important to get your nose down IMMEDIATELY with a loss of power. What often un-nerves inexperienced pilots, is the necessary drastic change in aircraft pitch from climb-attitude to glide-attitude. The training in the video is so necessary. When I received my twin-engine rating, I found the same principles apply, but the '“live” engine helps your glide-ratio in a good way if engine-out techniques are correctly employed.
I can appreciate the realistic exercises close to the grouind just before or after take-off, but also can be done at altitude easily. As always, Think Safety!
I was just coming here to post this very video. A campaign needs to be taken up to require these techniques be taught in initial training and up through current reviews and check rides. I didn’t notice the logo until the last few minutes as I was fixed on the learning. I finally saw it as they were heading into the sunset…
Here’s a story that brightened my day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B229-KLudTo
Good a story as in any movie :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPy2Mno--6I
Mr Gryder mentioned Banjo Ben this week in his popular utube channel Probable Cause. Also had his nice banjo in the background.
