Wondering if anyone’s got a favorite bluegrass version of Orange Blossom Special?
Favorite Orange Blossom Special
is that like Black berry blossom only orange and without berries?
Haha. Um, not really.
I gotta admit I haven’t heard that song. which is your favorite?
This is gotta be one of my favorites.
nice, man!
Here is one I ran across via a google search. This one has five different folks on fiddle including Rhonda Vincent. Keep watching till the end for Rhonda Vincent playing her lead portion and then all five playing lead at the same time at the end.
I can’t say I have a favorite since it has been several years since I have listened to anyone playing Orange Blossom Special.

Here is Jimmy Henley again on an album he did in 1976. Orange Blossom Special starts at 5:54. Jimmy on banjo, Jimmy’s dad on guitar, Bobby Clark on mandolin, and Vince Gill on electric bass.
The great Eddie Stubbs on the fiddle here with the JMB:
I’m equally impressed with the rhythm section.
Eddie went on to be a longtime WSM DJ & Grand Ole Opry announcer, which is where I first met him. One night when I was playing the Opry we were talking and I complimented his fiddle playing and asked how much he was playing out and around. He said, “essentially none, I’ve given it up.” I couldn’t believe it, someone that good that walked away from the instrument. Of course, I’m nowhere in the league of Eddie, but sometimes I understand quite well where he was coming from
